Pet Parade Teams:
Raising Money for Animals One Step at a Time

What’s better than raising money for animals? Teaming up with friends and family to make a bigger impact as a pet fundraising team! Create or join a team to walk together the day of the Pet Parade. Teaming creates a wonderful opportunity for groups to collaborate, and makes a tremendous difference for homeless animals.

We welcome your group of any size to walk with a banner and/or wear t-shirts to display your team spirit. Prizes will also be awarded to the top youth fundraiser (age 14 or younger) and top youth fundraising team. Organize a pet fundraising team with your friends, school, office or civic club for a chance to win a team trophy! And of course, everyone will leave knowing that their efforts went toward raising money for animal shelters.

Form a Pack! Start a Pet Fundraising Team!

pet parade trophyRaising money for animals has never been easier! By joining or forming a pet fundraising team, you can quickly meet your fundraising goals and support animals in need. It costs the Atlanta Humane Society about $300 to provide care and shelter to each homeless pet before they can be placed in a loving home.

Therefore, we encourage each individual participant to raise a minimum of $300 and each team to raise a group minimum of $3,000. You can have as many walkers on your team as you’d like. Ideally, a team of ten people raising $300 per person is a great place to start!  Also, did you know that many businesses offer a matching gift program to participating employees? Ask your HR department to find out how your company can assist in raising money for animals!

Walkers are required to register and are encouraged to sign up in advance at the discounted rate of $30 by mail, on-line or in person at AHS. To join a pet fundraising team that has been already created, go to the Registration page and register as an individual. You will be given the option to join your team during the registration process.

This year, we’re expecting more teams than ever before. To be fair, we will divide the teams into three categories based on size:

“Toy” Group – 2 to 12 walkers
“Herding” Group – 13 to 24 walkers
“Working” Group – 25+ walkers

The Top Team in each group will earn a team trophy and the Top Team overall will inherit the coveted Traveling Team Trophy! The top fundraisers in each group will also receive special recognition.
